Literacy for Work - Reading 1

Literacy for Work - Reading 1 focuses on letter recognition, vowels and consonants, and reading simple texts such as signs, menus and shopping lists. The activities, set in three workplaces – a hotel, a supermarket and a factory – put literacy in a work context. The first section of the book explicitly teaches the required skills; then students are given the opportunity to apply these skills in tasks that gradually increase in difficulty.
