What does the name Papakura mean?

Papakura can be translated as 'level land of red soil'; where better to grow the seeds of knowledge? Papakura Education Services is South Auckland's largest specialist education shop.

We are a small family owned kiwi business offering friendly, knowledgeable service.

Can I purchase from your shop or website if I’m not a teacher?

Absolutely yes! Anyone is welcome to buy from us.

Do you deliver to countries outside New Zealand?

Yes we can send to most countries overseas. Send us an email with the items you wish to order and we will get a quote to you using NZ Postal Service.

What payment options do you offer?

We provide 4 payment options:

Credit card: Our website and shop accepts Visa and MasterCard. We can process Credit cards and Debit cards over the phone and in-store also.

Bank Transfer / Direct Deposit: During the checkout process our payment processor Payment Express offers the ability to pay by bank transfer using the 'Account2Account' option.

Can you invoice my school?

Yes, if you're a teacher we offer invoicing to your school, kindergarten or early childhood centre as an alternative method of payment. Please provide your own reference number/order number and a contact person’s name. We also require the email for the accounts person.

If ordering online simply place your order then select 'Pay on Invoice'. Your order will be sent to the school/organisation’s official address only.

Do your prices include GST/Tax?

Yes. All prices listed on Papakura Education’s website are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and GST inclusive.

How can I track my order?

If your order has been made online to a New Zealand address you will be emailed a tracking number for CourierPost.

What are your delivery times and charges?

Orders are processed and sent the following day of ordering. Within the North Island we aim to deliver within 3 business days. Orders to the South Island we aim to deliver within 5 business days.

Shipping is calculated at a standard nationwide rate of $8 for the first item as a packaging and handling fee plus an additional $.60c per additional item.

Orders paced over $200 NZD total are eligible for free shipping within New Zealand. This will be applied automatically when completing the order in the checkout screen.

How can I purchase products?

Simply browse our online catalogue of products. Use the "Add to cart" button located under the product image. When you have finished shopping click on the "View Cart" link on the top right of screen to view items in your basket. You can update quantity, add or delete items before confirming your order by proceeding to the payment screen.

Can I order online and collect from store?

Yes, during the checkout process there is an option to choose "Store pickup" for the delivery method.

We are located in the Library Museum Building, 209 Great South Road, Papakura, Auckland.

Where can I park when I visit your physical store?

There is a free undercover carpark located at 28 East Street, Papakura (opposite New World supermarket). Take the lift to Level 3.

Do products have Back Orders?

All products currently shown on the website are usually in stock. If you can’t find a product please contact us for a status update.

How are Returns & Replacements handled?

In the unlikely event that you receive a faulty or incorrect product, we will refund your postage costs in returning the product to us and happily replace / exchange the product. Goods must be returned in their original condition (i.e. not marked in any way) within 30 days of original invoicing.

Please note that returns and replacements are only accepted for faulty or incorrect products- we do not accept returning or replacing goods because of reconsideration.

Is the store open on Sundays?

No the shop is closed on Sundays.

What are the shop hours?

Standard Opening hours are:

Monday to Friday, 9.30 - 5.00

Saturday, 9.30 - 12.30

The shop is closed Saturdays of long weekends

Do you store customer credit card details?

No, we do not store your credit card details. All credit card processing is performed by a third-party, and is not sent to or stored on our website.
